Haven't seen it mentioned yet so here's a heads up for Porsche Classics at The Castle

http://www.classicsatthecastle.com/2014/the-event/

Went for the first time last year and it's a must for anyone who has the slightest interest in Porsche. Some magnificent cars on display and that was just the car park smile

This year includes "A celebration of the Porsche Turbo showcasing both production and competition models" so as an even bigger must for any fellow 996 turbo owners!

Agree. Probably the best UK Porsche event of the year. Usually attracts all the top people, including a good European contingent.

I understand that there will be lots of nice stuff there this year. While CATC is an event for pre-74 Porsches, later models do get their own car-park.

I'm going. Blagged a position in the parade for turbo cars!
Keep your eyes out for no 11, ME!
Making the most of the car before it goes. Ownership has been cut short by a house hungry wife who is looking at a major upgrade from current family premises.
Why is it always the toys that go? Good forbid I chopped in something of hers!
So make the most of the flat nose twin turbo 964 if your going, you may not see it again!

Worth travelling to, lovely setting, good weather always helps. Lots of unusual (to me anyway) stuf there. We were lucky enough to do the dinner the night before and 991 for the weekend too but would go anyway. A real picture fest.

Yes, a fabulous day.

At Burleigh on the Saturday for the 4 Star Cross Country, can I possibly do the 400 mile round trip to Hedingham for the Sunday (in a '73 911s ??)

We shall have to see how tired I am smile

It's a great venue for a classic meet and always stacked with some great cars. Always well supported too although today seemed less attended than last year I have to say.

Nice to see new ventures like Design 911 there showcasing their cars as opposed to PAul Stephens selling the usual overpriced tat. . Funny i spotted countless car owners disposing of his windscreen flyers on exit no doubt not interested in being fleeced by his new service business either

Re flyers, in Ireland these have been illegal against our litter laws for the past ten years or more. One of our more sensibile laws IMHO ! I'd love to get to Hedingham Castle some year, maybe next time?
