Tell me about the detail of your Weber BBQ......
Discussion
I thought this would be the best forum for a suitable response.
I ordered a new Weber One Touch Premium BBQ from an on line store ( with an excellent record), and it duly arrived as per the agreement and contract. No problems there.
When I unpacked the BBQ I noted some damage to the coating around the handles. Closer inspection revealed the fire bowl had no coating around and inside the leg supports and there was cracking and crazing in a number of zones.
I contacted the supplier and they agreed to send a replacement. Again - no problems with that.
They have now rec'd from Weber a couple of new (replacement) units, and when they have inspected them, they tell me the standard of finish on the coating is much the same on these ones.
My question to the PH masssive : 'Are your Weber BBQ's well coated or are there 'blind spots' where there is lack of coating - Namely ~ Behind the grill support brackets / Inside and aroundd the leg support tubes / Around the lip of the lid' ???
In short : are they ALL like that ??
Your comments and experiences are gratefully Rec'd.
NB -The supplier has been fantastic with their customer service.

Can you post any pics?
I am not sure i believe that, PM me the supplier. I know one of them very well so can help have a chat if its them
I have owned webers since 2003. One gasser, one charcoal performer and the smokey mountain. There have been some failings in the porcelain lids but weber UK replace as fast as possible without issue. Thats why i like them and they have stood the test of time outdoors and work consistently.
thanks

Some pics of the brand new weber.....
Please note that this has been returned to the supplier, and they have offered to replace it, no problem. BUT.....they have inspected the replacement, and tell me they also have blind spots on the coatings, and are unsure if I'd be happy with the quality.
Some examples of what it looked like :-
