Did anyone record it from R4 either last Monday or the repeat lunchtime today (Sunday)?

It's just that we were at the recording of this in Basingstoke earlier this year and I forgot it was on.

(If the worst comes to the worst I can listen to the streaming audio on the BBC's 'listen again' service, but the quality is pretty poor and I can't keep it either)

No, I heard it on Listen Again - works well on broadbean these days.

They always record two shows at the same venue, so there'll be another Basingstoke one tomorrow at 6:30 or next Sunday.

Classic comedy - always has me in stitches. Don't forget the Christmas special, either.

Errr, yes, I know. Because I was at the recording of the 1st two shows.

Does anyone know how to save streamed audio so that you can hear it again later?
And if the bandwidth drops off and the quality gets crappy, like it does every time I use 'listen again', is there any way of buffering it?

Well pardon me! All I meant was that shows from the same venue are always bunched together when broadcast...

I didn't mean it quite the way it came across.

always struck me that Mornington Crescent could be a good game in the Pie & Piston.

Depends if you allow the Smolenski Variation or not.

And we're obviously following all the usual Stovold's rules, aren't we?

It's a shame there isn't more stuff like this on the TV and radio, instead of that "Reality Celebrity House Chef" tat. No wonder the country's in the state it's in.

Perhaps if those "talent" spotting shows incorporated a round of One Song to the Tune of Another, they might be a bit more entertaining...

I prefer the post-modernist abbreviated standard (revised) rules, myself.

You can record streaming audio - google for a program called Total Recorder. I've used it in the past, and it's very good...

There are probably other free-ware versions of the same thing around by now as well.

Actually thinking about it, something like VLC may be able to do what you want to do...

Is Green Park still wild or are you using Threapston's gambit?

It depends on whether or not 'following' is allowed.

I thought Threapston`s gambit had been offically declared to be the equivalent of a "professional foul"?
It should only be used if you have damaged ribs and wish to miss the next international against Kumoveria.

No you're confused and thinking of Abel's Trunnion. An understandable mistake as they both play where Magarnogle's Bunion is considered profligate.

I'm working in London at the moment and 'enjoying' (sic) a 2 hour commute each way. Oh joy.

Net result is that I don't get home from work until 7.30pm so I've BLOODY MISSED IT AGAIN!

Sorry to be a pain, but I don't suppose any of the kind PHers who offered me last week's ISIHAC in MP3 format would be able to do the same for today's, would they?
