Only a year or so since new Engine Mounts & gone again
How old is your Griffith, Seasider? And how often have you had to replace the engine mounts?
Its a 97 i've had it 18mths, replaced them a couple of months after getting the car, i put the first time down to it being a low mileage car & the rubber drying/hardening...
Also just done the rear diff mount, so looks like exhaust off for access again
I got mine from Rimmers, when I gasped at the price the chap said there were a lot of cheaper pattern parts but the quality would not be good. Apparently there are lots of 'different' quality mounts knocking around, and shelf life of rubber is'nt great. Just happened to have a close look today & they still look like new a year & 6.5k miles later. I think the ceramic coated manifolds may have helped tho.
No sympathy from me, you had such an easy time with your diff - Jammy so & so :-p

Tks Dave I paid about the same as Rimmers charge (i saw your earlier post on search toady) from a very reputable indi so i think quality ok but who really knows!!!
Thats why i wondered if any extra tuff stuff was available...

Are they of a different material, Dave, harder wearing?
I really wonder sometimes if people really know which are pattern parts and which are originals - for that matter which batches are good or bad quality???
Tell your Indi Derek & see what they say, 1 year is a joke however you've used/abused them, well unless youve been pi55ing the neighbours off by smouldering them with a blowtorch...

Hi Del
When you say that you have 'done' the Diff mount, do you mean that you have fixed it, or you have busted it?
Reason being, is that i have a brand new Diff mount that i never got round to putting on my Chim,(to much work involved imho !!
So it's yours for nothing if you want it, and providing i can find it of course!! let me know.
