Heated Seats???

Has anybody got heated seats in their 'S' ? My 'S' has two mysterious LED's above each electric window switch, thought they maybe from an old alarm system, or could be some form of indicator for heated seats, but found no way of turning them on or controlling them.

Today I found a mysterious switch to the left hand side of the steering wheel, under the dash - so far I have not had the balls to play with the switch, just in case something goes BANG!!

What are peoples experiences of Heated Seats in an 'S' - are they still likely to work (being 12 years old!)? Could this switch be for something else??

Have a look around for any wires going to the seat. Mine certainly doesn't have them. As for that switch, isn't that where the trigger for the ejector seat normally goes?

Not in mine! Re the switch you are talking about, its not the dash illumination rotary switch is it?? next to the boot release?

Dont know anyone that has them, although Leven do a heated cover for TVR seats which I was thinking of buying?

This is an additional switch to the rotary dash light and boot release switches. I found it on the LHS of the steering wheel (underneath the dash) when I was looking for the bonnet release.

I will have a further investigate tomorrow (with the roof off, just in case it is the ejector seat button ).

AHh the LHS, I have a switch there too, mine is a manual overide for the fan though! Could be anything I guess, like Pete says the tell tale signs are wires coming from under the seat!

If yours is the european spec without the manual ejector seat option, they might have used that switch for the fan override?

the pics in the link used to be my car and it did
have a heated drivers seat but the switch was buggerd
and it did not work
