Being Lazy - can anyone find these tyres for cheaper?

I've looked on all of the comparison sites. And as much as I hate to do this I think I will have to order tyres from Halfords as they are the cheapest I can find! This goes against the grain after they tried to rip me off with an MOT (claimed I needed £600 of work to pass when garage down the road passed me with one advisory).

I need:

Goodyear Excellence FP ROF *BMW (195/55 R16 87H)

(Doesn't have to be that make but does need to be that size and runflat).

Halfords can do two for £192.86. This seems very expensive to me - however two of the tyres on the back are looking okay, one on the front has a puncture and the other has hardly any tread left (about 2.5mm).

I shall be calling up Micheldever Tyres tomorrow and seeing if they can beat it. However if they can't I'll have to bite the bullet.

Oh and I need them on by Wednesday as I'm taking my Mum to the airport. And I've already driven 60 miles with the warning light on, so can't go much further before it becomes dangerous.

Take a shufties at Camskill (generally my first port of call when it comes to tyres), £76.30 per tyre - 195/16's halfway down - Goodyear Excellence, you'll have to factor in fitting costs mind but even then you should save a bit.

Thanks mate - thats £40 cheaper (excluding fitting which I am guessing would be around £10 a corner). However they won't get here in time for Wednesday when I need to take my mum to the airport sadly. Very good prices though, I'll be using them in the future. Just hoping Micheldever will come through for me...

Good to know. I was already factoring in the 10% off for buying two, and also found a discount code giving another 5er off a corner. An extra 5% is handy.

From what I have seen, Camskill and Black Circles are right down on prices, so you're unlikely to see anything cheaper than those by more than a couple of quid.

Yes CamSkill are very reasonable. However BlackCircles are not beating Halford at the moment. With the extra 5% it's down to £183.22. I still think that's a lot for two 16 inch tyres, but if it's the best price I can get I'll have to pay it.

Previously Micheldever has been very reasonable. Plus they are local to me so it might work out well for me to go there if they can go it a bit better. However the last times I wen't they seemed to have put the prices up, so I'm not sure. The weird thing about them is that there prices are different to those on the website. So it's very difficult to work out who's doing them for the best money.

Moose - I will pay up. But given that it's my hard earned (well actually currently government given) I will pay up the least amount I possibly can. I am very tight when it comes to money. I will pay what I have too to get what I want but I'll never pay more than I have too.

Given Halfords can do it for a pint over £180 I will see tomorrow AM if Micheldever can beat this by more than a tenner, if not I'll give Halfords the business. After fuel it's not worth my while drivng there for less than this. Shame the small local guys can't compete with them on price for cash, but it's all down to economies of scale.

The internet places can give great prices. But then you have to find somewhere who will fit them for a reasonable fee. Looked online and some comedians want 20 a corner! Cheapest I found quickly was just over £10. Soon mitigates the savings. Plus I need them before wednesday early AM.
