SB-600 Speedlight on D70
Discussion
Hi all,
I've just taken delivery of an SB-600 speedlight... not really had a chance to use it/RTFM but it seems like a great piece of kit.
Now, my question is: I also bought a remote hot-shoe cable thing (SC-28), do I need this? or is there some sort of remote fire IR type thingy on the SB-600?
I only bought it because the website listed it as a related accessory - but I am not sure what I would use it for!
Many thanks in advance.
Phil
sorry for the over use of "thing" and "thingy" but I'm fairly rubbish at this sort of thing!

You can use it either (a) on the camera's hotshoe, (b) off camera using the SC-28 or (c) as a wireless slave using the bult-in Speedlight.
However, for the fine details please RTM as I haven't tried (c) myself yet!

I was just going to sell it should I not need it.
Cheers.

The cord will allow you to use the flash up to 1.5m from the camera. But if you want it farther away, the flash from the camera can be used to trigger the SB600 directly - if the positioning allows. Wireless meaning no wires, and slave meaning it's fired by another flash.
However I have never tried this myself, so at this point I'm baling out!
