A common topic im sure however, my doors seem to be "hannging at a dodggy angle. The drivers door does on occasion bounce and not connect properly and i feel the doors could be a line of water ingress. Have read the bible but to me, a reasonably un practicle kind of guy cant seem to make sense of it. So whats the danger signs and how do you effectivley sort them out? is it expensive to do and who can do it?

Took me arounf half an hour per door, but because of the maount of use they get (car is an everyday driver until Chrtistmas) they have dropped again.

You take off the door trim. Loosen off the bolts prop up the door and do them up again. Easy as pie. Sort of. THe main problem is reachin the bolt furthest away at the top. I actuall managed to get my hand stuck in the door and had a job getting it out.

its A LOT easier with two people, one to hold the door where you want it and another to do the bolts up.

Or just sitting the back of the door up on an axle stand works for me, the axle stand doesn't get bored and ask if it can let go yet. You will want to remove the front window frame to get access. Sometimes the sagging doors problem is just caused by wear in the hinge bolts, but it can also be caused by the bolts unscrewing themselves from the body. Once they come completely unscrewed the door falls off , so don't leave it too long!

is it worth removing them, giving them a good scrub and lube before sliding them back in? Only my off side creaks like a pensioners knees.

I loosened the bolts (top and bottom) so the door is loose in all directions. I then slowly shut the door while I wedgeded a thin strip of rubber in where the door meets the catch, to hold it in the right place. With the door shut. Then I tightened the bolts... Had the roof off though as it was summer...

Edited to add: I sprayed cooper grease into every orifice while the bolts were loose... oh er!
