Hi, I've bought myself my first SLR a little while back a Canon EOS 300. Now I want to get some moody shots of the car after I found a cracking backdrop yesterday. I only have the standard lens and I would like to use a filter of some sort.

Anyone reccomend a certain filter or got any tips?

Thanks!

Have a look at this site I found last week.

Should explain a few things about filters.

My first thought is wide angle, but as you're limited to the standard lens, I'd try a graduated filter, eg the Cokin 67mm system. Tobacco, mauve - that kind of thing.

Beware, the 300 tends to underread its exposures. Use slide film if you can, and underexpose the shots by .5 or .25 a stop, works well for me

If you use print film, take it to Jessops for developing, don't bother with high street places they'll bugger it up.

Bonusprint always worked for me! (though I did buy Fuji Superia film)
