Is this also being made as a full convertible, like the Tuscan II? Can't work it out from the factory website although my dealer seemed to think it was. Thanks

At the motorshow the whisper was, if you *really* wanted one, they would build it...

But since then TVR has a new owner so I dont know for sure...

TVR will definately be offering the new convertible as an 'S' however they said that they may restrict the top speed with only the small lip spoiler on the back.

Seems like there's a double posting on this one, so here's a link to the other.

I think the initial issue with producing a Mk II S convertible was that it could be unstable at high speeds. The Mk I Tuscans had some issues at, er, certain speeds.

The Mk II will have the T350 steering and suspension geometry so much of the earlier Tuscans antics should be put to bed (wonder if the insurance companies will realise this). There must still be some concerns over aerodynamics though if the top end is artificially brought down.

If Mercedes can make an open top that goes fast (i.e. SL55AMG etc) no reason why TVR can't with a little application.

Trouble is it will still have a Speed 6 liability under the bonnet.....
