Just spotted this tyre on the front axle of an Audi A4 parked outside our house. The others weren't much better. A drop of rain tonight should see him understeering into a ditch.

I've noticed this on lots of cooking model AMG's/S line's recently.

Seems people don't care if their car will actually perform the task at hand, as long as it looks 'good' doing so.

See this a lot on my 2 mile walk in to work. The amount of bald tyres is rediculous and given that they are on high end cars you do have to wonder that if they are skipping on tyres what about other general maintence bits and pieces on the car?!

Honestly think bald tyre should = 6 points per tyre not the current 3 it sits at.

Dodgy tyres and brakes are ok, doesn't stop her getting anywhere to buy more tat she can't afford

Last MOT I had there was a woman with a TT with four completely bald tyres, when the garage was telling her about them she said "I thought they were a bit low".........

Shocking to think there are all these idiots out there with a ton or two of metal that will not steer, go or stop properly. Absolutely shocking.

Yes, but that's what the mot is for as far as she's concerned

No servicing or anything, just the mot, then just do the minimum to get it through

"Attention Police. Front Tyres illegal"

Happens a lot, I am sure. There should be a greater part in a driving test about basic care and maintenance. A lot of people are just so ignorant about their cars.

Not if it was bought new, they've 3 years before they need to change them. Part of this is down to cheap lease deals on cooking models with 19" plus wheels, they can scrape together the couple of hundred quid a month for the car payment, but can't afford the £150+ when a new tyre is needed. Shame all the speed cameras that 'save lives' can't detect bald tyres that are more likely to cause a serious accident.

You could do this on blackcircles and other tyre sites a couple years ago. Its nothing new
