Fugly 1 Series solution?

I'd been hoping that this type of conversion would be possible...what does everyone think?














Give it 10 years and this type of thing will be cheap and common methinks.

I hope people get ridiculed for this they they do changing a vw bora front onto a golf

Also won't the facelift 1 just have the 2 seires headlights anyway?

I couldn't put up with the looks so I just bought a Volvo V40 instead, the diesel engine was better too and its comfier. It isn't RWD obviously but as a commuting hack it is spot on.

Cant polish a turd IMO.

I think your right, the facelift seems to have the 2 series front end now anyway.

That's much better, I'd have a 1 series if it looked like that.

As it stands, I look at the front of the current one and it just manages to look like a dope.

According to the conversion company the bonnet and wings are identical, it's just the headlights, bumper, bumper reinforcement and grills that need changing.

Personally don't mind the rear of the M235i, I think this is a huge improvement.

Wish that was the case (the pictures in the first posting look great IMO) but it doesn't look like it:

I'm sure the facelifted car will look better than the current version but the headlights still look a lot bigger than the 2 series.
