First epic route completed.

I rode the Cotswold sportive today. Probably some of the worst weather we've had this year and just about every different type of rain. It rained non stop for the first 80 miles. Then within the last 5 miles there a massive thunder and lightning storm. The roads flooded, the winds gusted and the rain was so big it stank my face constantly. I got cold, wet, muddy and probably also covered in manure sprayed up from the roads and I loved every minute of it.

Now if anyone wants to clean my bike I'l happily supply the beer

I can see now why long distance ridng becomes so addictive. Im now looking to follow this up with a few more Epic rides then maybe an Audux

Ye thats not a good hill to come off on, you ok though? I rode most of the extra route with some people that you always meet on them. They weren't in as high spirits as I was but for me the weather made it more fun. I think if it had been colder it would have been a different story.
