Its a sad time but my '02 S2 Sports Tourer has gotta go. My wife is now pregnant so the Elise isn't as practical for us as it once was.

The Parkers Guide says the cars worth 18k as a trade in, but i've been offered anywhere from 12k to 14k for it. That seems way off the mark to me. Anyone else had this experience?

I think my only option is to keep the car in the garage until after the winter, and try again.

Dealers will try to get you to bend over and take it at the moment. Its the middle of winter so cars arent shifting so they know that if someone has to sell they can take the pi$$.

Best off trying to sell privately but there are so many around at the moment you will probably have to take a bit of a hit to get rid of it.

I would Keep it. Juniors carrier will fit into the passenger seat and the wife can take the bus!

Its up for private sale now. If I get no interest then I'll leave it in the garage until the summer. Rather that than get bent over! Damn Seasonal Cars!

Parkers is never reliable I'm afraid and to be honest even a decent 02 ST is not going to be 18k's worth these days unless very, very special.

Keep it!

called over allowance dear fellow (another word for discount ) your car in reality proably stands them around £20k, sounds like you did well!

Sports Tourer at £22500 is a hell of alot of money when you bear in mind you can have a brand new 111S for £26k!

i got 18.5k px for my last s2 111s with 20k on the clock. it was a 52 plate in 'good' rather than perfect nick. I'd drive it into the ground than take 12-14k for what you have.
