Well, today was one of those days where you wake up bright and early with a mixture of excitement & trepidation.

The reason? I took the decision after 7 great years filled with wonderful memories that it was time to sell the S and had a potential buyer coming to view it. The good news is that it's now sold, the really good news is that the new owner is none other than 'Big Ian' (hence his post requesting a copy of March' Sprint with the car on the cover).

Many of you will know Ian from the Euro tour... knowing that the car is going to such an enthusiastic & friendly bloke has certainly made letting go that little bit easier.

Will I miss the S? You bet I will, but at the end of the day I only have so much time/space/money and the lure of the Griff was just too strong!

Happy memories indeed, first driving trip to the Alpes on a driving holiday and first time I had a go other than a mile in the uk to fill up with petrol was the Petite St Bernard pass :-)

Congratulations Ian - nice car you've got there; comes with its own co-driver too, eh Greg?

You will have to wrestle him out of the driving seat.

From what I saw during the Le Mans Classic w/end I think Greg has made himself quite comfortable in the Griffith wink

So, first Karen and now Ian... are any other 2014 Euro Tour passengers likely to be buying their own S?!

Well done Ian, great car you've got there mate clap

With commissions to collect from Ian and Tim I'm really looking forward to S Club Heaven this year beer drink hehe

Longers is right, I have already been booked as a delivery driver and Tim and I have already had the fight over what we used to call the 'runner car' when we both worked together as delivery car drivers back in the day. The runner car was usually the fastest car we had in the lot. In this case it's a Griff which will hopefully soon have power steering (a larger steering wheel) so I glad Tim gave in easily so I could try it out.

Although I would be happy to drive the S anytime Ian, I will hopefully soon get one of my own which will be faster (as it is green) and from what I can remember from a brief ride in it several years ago is also the loudest S I have ever heard :-/

See you all at S club
