tinted lights and black back panel....
Discussion
I think it looks well.
I did this to a car of mine when I was a yoof and to keep it legal I didn't fully spray out the reflectors, I just made lines over it using a pinstripe which I peeled off after, it meant some of the reflector still showed through.
On a later car I sprayed the indicators and reverse lights in red making the whole lamp one colour. I liked that as well and was less common that the black at the time.

The lights are still legal as they are all still visible as are the reflectors, I had rear lights on my old MG ZTT 260 exactly the same and never had any problems with MOT or police and that was a daily driver....granted the plates are not strictly legal but there are plenty of cars running round with black plates on that shouldn't be and the classic car dealer where my brother bought his Griff has a modern Land Rover with black plates and he said hes never had any problems...time will tell...anyway heres a pic of the front...

Been having a play with the look of my 390 with the idea of going more stealth looking, what do you think? The lights are tinted and I've covered the area between with adhesive black vinyl, also thinking of repacing the stripes and 390SE decals with black ones....
Cheers, Al.
I really like that.. gives a really cool look IMO.Cheers, Al.
Just as a thought, how are the rear lights and rear panel tinted on the White Elephant, could a similar method be used ? must admit though, never seen a pic of the White Elephant with the rear lights on.
