Me too :-), and I can help explain it too... A turn-key tuned duratec with ecu etc will run about 3600 inc vat, a Cosworth version will run you about 9K with the ecu and loom. (I looked into them for a kit car a while ago)

So thats approx £10K in shell and engine, before any of the other stuff is bolted on.

Not a bad price for a complete car IMO!
