Removing side repeaters

I have just bought some nice clear lenses for the side repeaters, instead of the nasty orange ones.

How the hell do you get the old ones off, have taken them to my local garage but they don't want to touch them.

Anyone done this themselves?

yep...they should just pull off...i went for clear LED ones that flash orange

IIRC there held in with silicon should just pull off.

But be carful someone may have superglued yours.

Try and catch the indicator with your fingernails and lever it away from the body slightly. Insert a cloth between the body and indicator then gently insert a thin flat blade screwdriver and gently lever the indicator awayfrom the body.

Screwdriver can still craze paint work, but it does work.

Another is to use Dental Floss and gradually, in the usual sawing motion, get underneath the lamp.

I had to change a repeater bulb on my Cerbera once, on that I had to pull the indicator back (towards the cabin) before pulling out.

Same or different?

actually, thinking about it, that's happened more often to other marques I've owned. Sorry TVR!
