Which used 80mm forks for a trail bike with £100 budget?

I have been restoring a Scott Tacana, from the late 90s / early 00s, that was quite neglected. Next on the list are some forks as the current Manitou Spyder-R's have had it. As I have a Scott Scale for XC duties, I have set the Tacana up to be a decent trail bike.

What 80mm forks would you recommend, ideally on a budget of £100 maximum (second hand is fine)?

Mazzochi MX used to be the budget forks of choice, when people realised how poo manipoo forks were. They were only 150 new back then, so you might be lucky. If a bike can take 80mm, you should be able to run 100mm , without issues, so that will widen your choice a bit. You wont get a decent set of new forks for £100, so look for nearly new etc on bike sites and fleabay. Most / if not all mtb new forks don't have v brake mounts, so if you have v brakes other than discs, bear that in mind too.

Should have added that I am running Magura HS33's and don't really want to convert to discs so they will need to have v brake mounts. I had considered Bomber Z1's but they seem pretty heavy (2180g) so will check out the MX. I was unsure if I could use 100mm. Am using ebay to search mainly.

Rockshox Reba seem to get good praise but not seen many used ones for sale with v brake mounts, were they disc only?

I've had a couple of pairs of Marzocchi MX forks in the past. The 100mm travel ones are flexy and the bushes wear out as a result. The 80mm ones last longer. Overall decent forks though and reasonably light if you get the air sprung ones. They defo had v-brake mounts as the brake mounting post/bolt thing also held the arch to the lower tubes.
