Can anyone give me some advice on what to look out for when purchasing a 280SL R107.
I expect it would be the usual ie Rust/body work etc,but anything out of the norm?

I have a 280, most seem either to want the later post-facelift 300 or a V8.
Aside rust, check for rust again... The bulkhead, sills, softtop compartment, wings, headlight area, sparewheel well. The list goes on, read as much as you can about how to check a 107 or take someone who really knows them.

Check the heater does both hot and cold.
