The 2 main side rear diff bushes ( the originals ) and probably the smaller rear one, have play in them, which I suspect may be ? Affecting the handling, as the rear end feels floaty on rebound. The rear Bilstien Sports aren't leaking but are far from new, so it could be that the rebound damping is now weak on them.

Anyone fitted new diff bushes and what was the outcome ?

When my Tuscan's diff bushes went, the only symptom was a clonking from the rear when coming off the throttle. Handling was fine (for a Tuscan!).

I wouldn't have thought the diff mounts would affect the handling.

I get my Bilsteins rebuilt every 2-3 years.

Thanks for the replies, after another drive it would seem that the damping ( particularly on rebound ) is weak, so new shocks time and yes, who rebuilds Bilsteins to Factory standards ?

Or how much are new ones and where from ??

I take the Griff to Steve Guglielmi who I think sends them off to

Bilstein UK
7 Vitruvius Way, Meridian Business Park, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE19 1WA
Tel: 0116 289 8345

They normally charge roughly £50+vat each from memory.

@griffdude; thank you, highly appreciated !

Saw Racing Green does do new ones for £173/corner ?

Recently bought a 430, still on its original shocks, so probably time for new springs and shocks !

(after which the 2 year rebuild regime)
