Petrol coming from filler caps
Discussion
With over half a tank of petrol if i go round a corner it starts falling back out of the filler caps!
Looking at the design of the tank in my 2+2 i can't see how to fix this issue as the filler pipes are horizontal to the top of the tank, Is this normal, and does anyone have any fixes (apart from only putting in £30 at a time)

It should not be doing this with only half a tank. It is common for the cars to back siphon fuel out if they are brimmed full and on uneven ground etc. The usual issue is blocked breather pipes on the passenger side rear or blocked or pinched cross over pipe in the top of the boot behind the carpet.. The usual culprit is a air lock. The design is poor as you say with the two tanks and cross overs. With the car towards empty (who knows with the gauge!) take the fuel cap off and try blowing through the over flow pipe down at the passenger rear wheel arch. With the car up in the air and good light check all the pipes between the tanks and the swirl pot.
Good luck

Also check the condition of the seals in the filler cap...You can buy replacement cork ones...

My 2.8 DHC has twin tanks too, but only one filler cap, so not just the FHC. It's a crap design to be honest, with the big filler pipe(s) being almost horizontal. Mine leaks/smells on corners only when very full, so yes, check all the breather and interconnector pipes. Bit of a bugger as it's underneath (at least on the DHCs) and hard to see....

I have one tank but two filler pipes
One tank but twin filler caps? Excellent, opportunities for a fine ritual when filling up. Or can leave both caps off when filling and avoid the "Wedge Shimmy" to clear the air locks?

Proper Jaaags have two tanks and two filler caps, 10 gallons(?) each tank.

Most definitely...Last week i popped to the local Bescos for some fuel and on the inner pump row the camber is real bad in the concrete and you have to do the "Wedge shimmy" even dropping a score in it..As i was doing it a really nice young lady came out of the entrance which is only about 4 feet away and as she looked at me i was pulling a "Come on you pissy pump" face while shag like shimmying of the fuel slosh was going on.....It obviously looked like i was enjoying it as she gave me a look of disgust...Oooo missus...
