Car Dropped Of The Side:(

Car transporter guy has just phoned me saying he has just dropped my RX8 off the side of his transporter into a building and smashed up the rear end of the vehicle.

I bought the car to break so other than a few lost parts, I'm not that bothered. The transporter guy is insured and is giving his details to the guy who's wall he has damaged with my car.

Should I try and get something out of the insurance too, or should I do a cash deal with the driver?

I don't want to make the poor guys day worse than it is already, he seemed quite panicked during the call.

The vehicle is a 2005 RX8 231 with engine failure which I have paid to have collected from the seller for delivery to me and has a total value of £550.

He's already got a claim against his insurance, he won't be bothered about settling with you for cash I shouldn't think.

How much does it eat into your profit when breaking as you had planned? If it's only in the order of £50-100 and a reasonably small percentage, I'd not bother the driver too much about it.

Perhaps worth more to you and easier for him for you to get some sort of mates rates car transport for a bit as a result.
