Can anyone help ID this for a friend?

From a fb post of a friend he was visiting a classic car show with an elderly, dementia father in law. It made him reminisce and this photo came out.

Can anyone ID it for me, it's from India, early 1930's and the father in law used to sit astride the headlights of this particular car.

Badge looks like it begins with "B" which leads me to Buick, and Google suggests a Model 47
