anyone used a mobile Soda Blaster
Discussion
If you're thinking of having a shell stripped at your house, be prepared for a great deal of dust! Soda blasting is a very messy business and if you have neighbours, its really a no-no. We blast shells with various different media and unless you have a farm with a big barn well away from civilisation, I wouldn't recommend having it done at home. To be honest, when we blast most shells the majority of the shell is done with a fine abrasive media at low pressure rather than soda - its cheaper, less messy and more effective. There will be no panel distortion if the blaster knows what he's doing. Use the right media, the right pressure and the right technique and the results will be prefect - but we gave up blasting shell on a mobile basis a long time ago. It just wasn't worth the aggro.
