Hi All,

Chance (fate?) has it that there are currently two Lancia Deltas nearby. Models in question are a 1.6 GT i.e. and a HF Turbo (2WD). Both are from 91 -- catalyst models sadly, so 90 PS / 132 PS "only". Both fairly cheap and somehow very likeable.

The Turbo has a few problems (idle control device, leak in the window wash pipe, one brake caliper on the way out). This had me looking online for information, parts etc.

Seems to be very little info out there for the standard (non Integrale) Deltas. The Grale obviously gets a lot of coverage and support. Anybody has a good info source? Or knows what parts can be interchanged with the big sister? Brake and idle control for example, supsension parts etc. ? Or is all of that bespoke for the Grale?

Where are the cars? (Country) What language do you want any help to be in?

You never expect the Spanish Inquisition smile. The OP was admittedly pretty sketchy, so thanks for asking!

The cars are in Germany, one where I work (Hessen) one where I live (NRW). Language could be English, French or German. Spanish and Italian -- marginally doable, but only (very slow) reading.

Now the big question: why? I'd like to buy one. But time/budget/space don't permit to keep it as a full on classic. Else I'd follow the herd smile and look for an Integrale. It would see some (very light) use as a sort of station car. Certainly not going to be an investment -- apparently not much interest in simpler Deltas.

Problem is, as I said, seems that there's not much info out there.

Typically, I'd look for an owners forum to check e.g. parts availability, things to watch out for, maintenance hints etc. But what I found was 99% Integrale related. I would not want to use it as a "shed", so keeping it serviceable is the plan. Basically, I'd like to get a feel for the amount of (financial) dedication owning one involves. If it ends up being really close to a Grale, then I'd know (sad as that would be) why nobody bothers keeping one of the "lesser" specimens.

There is a Dutch one, but I can't remember where although I think that one is mainly Delta Mk2 (HPE)

But to cut a long story short, there isn't much out there at all and to be an owner you have to be very committed and handy with the spanners/welder. Apart from the dashboard and basic body shell/glass it doesn't share much with the integrale and parts are hard to find. Ebay and the community being best places to look.

Are you sure these cars have Cats on them? Must be a Euro thing if they have. ICV can be disassembled and cleaned out if it is like integrale.

There are German, Italian, French, English and Dutch sections. The Italian section is were most of the action is..........

And I don't see why the 1.6 N/A should be expensive to run (if the body is rust free).
