Another Abarth 500
Discussion
Here's my little 500 in Campvolo Grey. Had it a few months now, always liked the look of them and a friend was selling this at the right time so I went for it.
I've added a BMC air filter and a TMC tuning box to give it the same performance as the Essesse version, its a mad little motor if you let it off the leash! Can get very unruly on bumpy roads but its great fun and cheap on fuel and parts.

These are everything I hate about modern cars, terrible alloys, very girly, silly colour choices/decals, too small to be remotely practical for me yet a little too heavy to justify the size
So why do I like them so much?!!!
If I could guarantee ill be staying fairly close to home with work, I'd chop my company astra in a heartbeat for one!

I know what your saying Brian, no man in his right mind would drive a basic Fiat 500 but everybody seems to love the Abarth.
I came from an E61 BMW 5 series touring to this so the size difference is massive, its our only car (plus a small van) and we have a little boy but we manage somehow! Apart from when we recently went to centre parcs for the week and had to borrow my dads car!
It only weighs a tonne and no matter how hard you drive it you can't get below 35MPG.

They are an aquired taste, a lot of my friends rip the piss out of mine but the ones who are actually into cars acknowledge it's a great little car even if not to their tastes. I had narrowed down to a second hand E46 M3, brand new Clio 200 or brand new Abarth 500 Essseesse and went for the Abarth for the combo of fun, running costs, residuals, rarity etc.So why do I like them so much?!!!
