Lucas Electromechanical fuel reserve valve

Does anyone know a company who can refurbish a 1950's Lucas Electromechanical fuel reserve valve (on petrol tank offtake) .
These were used on Rover P4s, Astons, Bristols, Jensens and others. Mine is missing the internals that fit inside the casting, which I assume consists of a ball, spring etc.
I tried to add a photo, but can't for some odd reason

They are very good, but their refurbishment price on these units seems very high to me. Though I may have to bite the bullet!

You already have the best fix, a can in the boot.
If it's the same system as the Dart, there are two different length brass pickup pipes; on the Daimler, these pipes tend to split longways allowing air into the fuel line at anything less than a full tank.
When was the last time you needed a fuel reserve on a car?

Yes that sounds exactly the same as mine (Aston DB2/4 MkI), I'm restoring the car, so thought it would be good to get it fixed.
You're right though I'll probably never use it!
