Classic 911 Required for charity restoration
Discussion
Good afternoon everyone
I work at Porsche Center Cambridge.
We are looking for an older style 911 for restoration. This is not for the Porsche competition that we entered last year, it is purly to raise money for the charity Wizz kids. When compleated the car will be auctioned at a charity event.
All models and condition considered.
We are on a time limit and unfortunatly two cars we were going to purchase have both fallen through.
Please help.

Guess you're looking at SC, 3.2, 964s rather than pre-impact bumper?I work at Porsche Center Cambridge.

This car is already being followed up on, but thanks for the sugestion. I think the initial idea was not to do just a black 911 as that is what we did last year. But now we may have some ideas how to spice things up. We did start a 926 Carrera GT earlier in the year. But unfortunately as things progressed we found it to not be the car we thought it had been originally. Much as I was enjoying the experience, it was certainly noticeable among other members of staff and the general public, some regret that we weren't doing a 911. Also as far as the charity goes, they receive the profit on top of the build cost of the car. With the 911 we restored last year they should be looking at several thousand pounds, based on some of the offers we are getting now. 944s and 924s are worth nothing like the value, restoration costs and man hours would be basically the same. I can only see that leaving a much smaller pot for wizzkids at the end.
