Quick help needed! starting issue

I locked the car with but my pooch was in so I wanted to crack the windows. I messed about with the key fob lock/window opening tool to do so which meant lots of lock/unlock to do it. Was only out the car 5 mins and now it won't start - the gauges just go nuts when I try.

Ideas.......

Flat battery. If it is a Ford, they all do that when the battery is flat.
