So my question is, is this legal or just unfair ? Do i have any rights or shall i just put up with it.

You don't pay towards it through your taxes, it's a BIK tax, it has nothing to do with contributing to the cost of the car.
Yes it's legal, and I'm struggling to see why it would be unfair of your employer to periodically update the list of available cars.

You could always have opted out, and driven your own car, surely?
Look at this another way
You get a company car, that will be changed in x years / y miles. You dont pay for it (and I assume they pay for servicing? And maybe towards fuel costs?)
Always look on the bright side of things, it could be worse. You could have some of your own money now for something really nice to drive about in when not in the rep-mobile

Most lists change every month. This is because the cost to lease the cars varies with so many factors - offers, finance deals available, expected residual etc etc.
The emotion you have right now is envy - which is unfortunate but part of life. Just never look at what the band 4 guys have, it makes your mate's tinted windows look cack.

Lists change all the time, so it's just a bit of luck when your time to order comes around.......
When some of my team last came to order a new car (then the just released Astra) the best engine they could get within budget was a 1.3 95 hp diesel......now at renewal as the model is older and more discounts are available they area all ordering the SRi 160hp.....
