linking to own classified ad - rules?

Hi, I'm fairly sure it's frowned upon to link to your own classified ad from elsewhere on the forum but couldn't find that rule outlined anywhere?

Only wondering since I have placed my first ad on PH (in Big Stuff) that would possibly be of interest to those in the Homes & DIY section but didn't want to just whack a post in that section and get my knuckles rapped.

If links aren't allowed, am I allowed to post in Homes & DIY that I have said article for sale but not to include a link?

Currently the posting rules state:

Do not post or link for the purposes of advertising or personal gain (including cars for sale) or cross-post across multiple forums. If you wish to advertise please use the classifieds or contact us directly. Please note that we do not allow members to advertise their own car in the forums, nor do we allow members to post asking for valuations on their current car (please use the classifieds as a guide).

So at the moment it would be frowned upon as this does not distinguish between external sites or our own classifieds.
