Hi Guys,
Need some inspiration on what car to start looking for once I sell the old ones. I currently have 2 A3's and want to get rid of them both and get 1 car for me and the wife. Basically she is canadian and has found it difficult (to say the least) to get to grips with driving here but is now at least more comfortable but will only drive automatic. So we have an 1998 A3 1.6 petrol auto and a 2006 A3 2.0 TDi manual. Currently I am spending almost £200 a month on insurance (due to only have NCD for one car) and the road tax on the 98 a3 just cost me £230 for the year!
I want to get something 4 door, with a roof rack and preferably estate to carry around stuff, cheaper on tax and insurance but with the possibility of getting some power gains with a good remap. I was tempted to remap the diesel A3 as I would get better power and better economy but thought I will be selling soon.
I have been looking at some of the new car lease deals that BMW are offering - low deposits and low monthly and I saw a deal with a polo that had insurance too. Although trying to remap those would invalidate the lease maybe? Unless I got a remap that can be turned off? Used cars I was thinking at that price range (ie whatever I can get for the 2 audis combined) maybe a diesel 5 series or Leon. Any inspiration or deals that you know of would be much appreciated.
