Port Edgar Watersports -Any Experiences?
Discussion
I could do to do my Powerboat Level 2 quite quickly, Port Edgar Watersports on the Forth near Edinburgh can fit me in quickly at a good price with the benefit I can drop my girlfriend off in town whilst I'm out and book a nice hotel for the evening and make a weekend of ot.
Does anyone have any experience of them they could share? Either on here or by email?

I sat my Powerboat Level 2 at Port Edgar about 3 months ago but not with the Watersports Company but a chap called Brian Suddon who was... Superb. He's recently retired as head of Lothian & Borders Police Marine unit and use to be cox of the S Queensferry lifeboat so to say he knows his apples is an understatement. All round nice guy, vastly experienced, patient and the most immaculate rib I'd ever seen.
I did see one or two of the Watersports instructors when I was there and whilst they might still get you your pass, to be honest, they were all young lads and nowhere near the experience of Brian. The other benefit is that Brian will run the class with a single pupil (the RYA allow up to 3 pupils per instructor) and whilst it's a little more expensive (approx £230 vs £180 pp for a class of 3), it means you're at the helm for virtually the whole weekend.
PM me if you want his details, I would heartily recommend him. Best 2 days I've spent in a long time.
