Anticipating disastrous decision..

Few beverages Saturday lunchtime, decide to visit the Coys website (again), see no harm in registering to bid, offer credit card details, quick drink at home (last one, honest),have a cheeky bid (won't get involved in anything serious), get a bit bold, oh good lord! Nowhere to put it, no spare cash to really pay for it, no idea how to get it back or register it.
Just love the colour and interior (even if it looks a bit tired).
Will go for a long bike ride to avoid catastrophe.

You're a logistics manager, that should be the easy bit! Provided you have the title to the car, once it lands in the UK you can register it in your name as an import. Get it MOT'd on the chassis number and the DVLA will allocate a period UK registration number.It's beautiful, get a bid on it

I Know I know, it's porn indeed.
I've scraped together what ought to be enough to buy it (very little of it my own money)but rational thought has kicked in. This auction lark is a bit of a minefield.
15% buyers premium
19% VAT in Germany on the premium
165 euros (plus vat) to move the car from the auction to storage if not collected on Monday morning.
Car can't be removed until payment made in full (given it's a weekend sale then that won't happen until Mon/Tues).
15 euros (plus vat) per day storage until the above have been completed.
Transport to the UK (assume £500).
All this to be presented with what could be a gem or an absolute lemon. Which then needs registering, MOT ing etc. And then you factor in the market (appreciate this isn't a terribly desirable car according to the market) which may pop, realign or whatever. And I've nowhere to put it. So, you have to ask yourself- do you feel lucky punk?
Best go for that bike ride I think.
