Gammon in the slow cooker, but with what???
Discussion
Appreciate anyones thoughts here, so i can avoid the net and mumsnet
So i've put the gammon in a pot of water to soak overnight, and guess i'll boil it for 5-10 minutes in the morning to get some scum off before putting it in the slow cooker, but with what.
I was thinking of serving it with new potatoes or spring onion mash, and some veg that i fry in butter, and then add brown sugar, honey and cinnamon too
Now then, should i try the gammon in the slow cooker with coke cola that i keep hearing about, or should i just go with honey and brown sugar?
If i went down the honey route, is it best to blast it at the end in the oven for a bit?
Cheers
