Hi everyone,

I'm recently paralysed and soon to start track days again. I used to race motorbikes and now the focus will be cars!
I have friends in America using the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Zii tyres but they can not be purchased in the uk.
They are DOT approved. Does anyone know why they are not sold in the uk?
They are meant to be great tyres and would love to use them

If I can't get them in the uk looks like I will end up using yokahama tyres instead!

Not sure what car you are using but why not try Dunlop Direza DZ03G which look even more track focused than the Star Spec.

It's for a golf gti mk7
The star spec is meant to be ok on damp tracks which is what appeals to me
Have you got any experience with those Dunlop Direza DZ03G on a damp track?

All the semi slicks are fine on a damp track including the DZ03. We run it on our E36 race car and theyare great for that which is circa 1200kg.

The semi slicks only get a bit dodgy on standing water but even then DZ03 are better than most.

Ok brilliant, I was looking at the yokohama ad08 but will have to give those dunlops a try
Do you know the best place to get a set?
May have to keep a eye on eBay for a used set!
