Tamiya M05 motor problem
Discussion
I have had my M05 for a while now and when i took it out last week I drove it for a while and then it just stopped the motor was still going but the wheels weren't turning. so I opened it up and found my motor gear (sorry don't know what it is called) had slipped down closer my motor. I have tightened the grubscrew but it still does it.
if anybody has any ideas it would really help me out.

Can you hear the motor going?
Hopefully this shows the motor shaft flat

As others have said the screw needs to be on the flat on the shaft.
Check the spur gear teeth are ok
Check that the motor hasn't moved. The gear you have tightened up should be in mesh with the spur gear ( the bigger one ) if you loosen the motor and mesh them. If you move the spur gear back and forth you should have a tiny bit play between the 2 gears when you have that tighten the motor up again. Once tight check the play again because it can change when the motor is tight.
PS don't glue the gear on
If all that's ok it will work. If it doesn't you have another problem with the drivetrain.
