Been lurking and using the forum for general tips and advice. I thought it was about time I signed up and said hello publically. So, Hello!

Bitten by the bug a number of years ago and now have my very own TVR Chimaera 400. I've been an owner for nearly a year now. No real dramas to mention, great support from Fernhurst TVR, who fortunately for me are close by.

I had a lovely TVR day today, met a former owner and made a few people smile. Does it get any better?

Anyway, that's the brief intro and once again, hello.

Dan

Here she was in the showroom. I was overseas but a friend called in and took a snap for me.

Cosmos blue with a magnolia interior. The dash is dark blue and she has a walnut dash. In my opinion, she's one of prettiest Chimaera's. But I realise I am very biased.

Blue ones are the fastest! smile

Good colour combo, but then I would say that as mine is the same but a slightly darker blue. Looks great on those Estoril wheels, you don't see many Chims with those but IMO they look spot on.

Enjoy your purchase and if you have any queries people on here are very helpful.

Did they replace the centre caps before you picked it up?

Yes, new hub caps fitted. I really like the wheels too.

They look better without the caps
Welcome and as Mathew correctly mentioned, blue one's are the best in any flavour.

Would Fernhurst have any spare wheel centres ? Reason for asking is my newly aqcuired Griff hasn't got any.....

Frank,

It's got to be worth a call. I'm not sure that they are missing here or because they hadn't got around to replacing them following all round brake work. They did supply new stickers for them.

You can buy them as spares but they are not cheap when you consider you will also need to have them painted and also buy the TVR logos as well. Best bet would be to look out for a second hand set, breakers may also be a good shout.

Hi Dan and Matt,

Yes, saw the ones at racedirect, and indeed they need painting + stickers and small bolts, so will give Fernhurst a call to see if they got any (or else watch the bay and classifieds)

cheers guys,

Frank
