Greetings,

The wife wants a DSLR for her birthday. This will be her (our first) SLR. It will be used as a general all-round camera for taking pics of anything and everything.

After a bit of web research and looking at Which? I've come up with:

A Canon Eos 700d with an 18-55mm and 55-250mm lens for 500 pounds.

I think I'll probably try to get a wide angle lens from ebay or something to go with it at a later date.

Have you kind and knowledgeable folk got any other suggestions?

Budget is floating around 500.

Thanks in advance

TB

Where are you getting the twin lens kit from? Sounds like a good deal.

These are entry level DSLRs from Nikon. The D5200 is a hell of a good camera

Wow!! Great price. I'm guessing it's not a UK camera, and is an imported one?
