Yorkshire/Derbyshire Hotel

We are doing a Scottish Tour in September from the South Coast, and are looking for a suitable Hotel for the journey home about halfway. Well be travelling down M6 route (not M1)
Does anyone have any helpful ( and on thread) suggestions?

One suggestion is buy a sat nav as i don't think the M6 passes through either Yorkshire or Derbyshire.

Not on the motorway but Simonstone Hall has some great roads near it such as buttertubs pass. About halfway as well in Yorkshire. Or if you want to stop in the lakes I love Holbeck Gyhll and the food is great.

Thanks Bentley... We're going up from west Wales and this will be about half way for us, so looks a good stop off point.

If you fancy staffordshire I know a good one near J13 of the M6 - its only about 3 miles off the motorway and they have a great restaurant and the parking should be fine as its not a massive place.
