Another what car for 10k or under

As new as possible (2008 MY oldest), must seat 4 adult men in comfort, must be diesel, can not be RWD so FWD or 4x4.

Not Honda CRV or Range Rover (I suggested an LPG Ranger Rover but to big)

Possibles so far are Audi A4, BMW x3, Jaguar XF, Toyota Rav 4, Nissan Quaschai, Hyundai Tuscon

Current car is a Lexus IS200 2005 but struggles in snow and poor weather and he needs to travel to Cumbria at least twice a week from Manchester.

Must have cruise and prefers leather.

Low mileage as he will do 20kish a year

Its for a good mate of mine but he is rubbish with cars

10k Budget (MAX)

Any thoughts?

Audi A4 won't be much use for carry 4, pretty compact in the back in my experience.

I think it would be fine on winter tyres but I suspect he is often on untreated roads going to a site, he has had current car for about 7 years but as he is changing wants to go to something that copes better.

Honda Accord is worth a look.

Have you thought about a Mazda CX-7 ? Just part exchanged by 2008 plate one for a V70, but only because of the 17mpg average of the 265 bhp turbo petrol engine. Otherwise, was a brilliant car.

Very good looking (IMHO) with 4WD, leather, cruise control, electric seats etc. just had a quick look on Autotrader and you could probably pick up a 2010 diesel version for £10,000 or so. Would certainly stand out from the crowd.
