Scratch & Dent Insurance

I am buying a new car and want to keep it free of unsightly scratches and dents without losing my no claims bonus. Has anyone tried a company called SMART that provides scratch and minor dent insurance? Or can you recommend any other company?

I think it's expensive and you don't get a choice of repairers (some are good some I wouldn't pay in buttons)

I would just pay for smart repairs as required from a recommended local guy.

I paid for it on my last car and never had cause to use it. Didn't bother with it on my current car and got a big stone chip on the front bumper within a few days followed by someone scraping the rear bumper when I left it parked. Both repairs combined were cheaper than paying out so much a month over several years. Halfway through my finance deal I'm ahead in terms of covering minor repair costs against where I would have been paying for the scratch and dent insurance.
