Middle age sets in - Saab 9-3 Estate

So thanks to Renault being dicks and fitting the isofix loops too low down in mk2 Lagunas (no seriously, look it up) our isofix sits at far to steep an angle to be safe. Looked at a few options to sort it but thought I'd have a look and see what else is out there too, the Laguna is going very well just now so probably a good time to sell it!
Ended up viewing a Mazda 6, a dealer spec accord, a leon and this. Its a Saab 9-3 Aero Estate with 64k and full saab service history, picking it up midweek so only got the ad pics for now. It goes pretty well, 7.3 to 60 apparently, 210bhp so a little more than the laguna but it weighs over 150kg more (1550kg!)
Looking into the possibility of a SaabNoob remap but it in all honesty its unlikely to happen, the only real plans atm are to swap the Pilot Sport 3s off the laguna onto this and maybe some winter wheels and tyres (can get brand new saab 3 spokes for £80 posted for the set!). Oh yeah, and see what I can do about the silver parking sensors!
Laguna is going to get the rear subframe bushes replaced as I have them anyway and then a good clean and put up for sale, will actually miss it, its been a good car, much better than the internet would have you believe.

WHAT!!!!!!!! Away with thee! A turbo'd Saab without a remap is like peanut butter without the crunchy bit!!
For the price it's well worth it. Had to pay 4 times as much to get my v6 done!
Yeah its the 2.0T, so 210bhp and good for 250 with ease apparently.
I would like it to happen but with a newborn and a wife on maternity leave it might be hard to justify! I've just signed up to some saab forums so still mid research but can he do it by post? Edinburgh is a fair old distance from Nottingham!

Not sure about that one, I think most drive to him but he might be able to do it by post? Best bet is email/pm Karl either through his noobtune website or www.uksaabs.co.uk
He's ok UKSaabs as SaabNoob, you'll need 5 posts before you can PM or just stick a post up in the performance forum asking for a noobtune remap and he'll sort you out

He can indeed do it by post. Costs a small amount more but as has been said, it's very good value for what you get. I was considering the post option, then realised my mechanical ability to change ECU's, and in my case a fuel pressure regulator, is akin to that of a slightly dozy monkey...
Do it, it's worth it...

...although I bought mine when I was 29 and worse still its an automatic diesel! Kill me now!
Despite a few issues (water pump failed last week = £350) I do really like it!
Had a 2.0T as a courtesy car whilst mine was in, ridiculously fast, very much enjoyed it!

Ha! Away with you and your middle aged comments. I've got one which I bought when I was 22 
Funnily enough I'm Edinburgh too and I was swithering over getting the reamp done for similar reasons, distance away and justifying the money. It isn't a lot though he is asking for and it's worth it (as I keep telling myself), I just need to find a weekend to make the drive down when he can do it for me!
I like the estate versions of these. Every time I see an Aero estate there is a little bit of me that wishes mine was an estate too.

Got my 9-5 Aero when I was 19, two weeks before my 20th 
And the OG9-3 Aero before that was purchased two weeks after my 19th, owned it 11 months amd P/X'd it for the 9-5.
