I'm looking for a larger rear wing for my LP570 that will still attach to the original mounting positions, not a complete tailgate change a la Super trofeo. I've had a good look around on the net but cannot find anything. However, the car on this vid appears to have what I'm looking for: http://youtu.be/fI6jCh3IEt0
Anyone any ideas?
Cheers.

What about the RSC "SV" style wing?

How exactly does that fit?

That's brilliant, never knew there was an option to run a larger wing using the original mounting points. Must admit that the Reiter Eng site doesn't really show that well though.

I was going to order the RSC SV wing but chickened out last minute and went for a normal SL one.

on each side, an oval plate sits outside the car in the recess where the original spoiler strut sat

the plate has a slit along its middle and a right-angled bracket poking vertically into the engine bay

the reiter spoiler strut passes through the plate's slit, and two bolts connect it to the plate's vertical bracket

no cutting, and just four bolts to revert to standard

the most complicated bit was figuring-out the resistor to use in order to terminate the high-level brake light circuit and convince the car that the brake bulb was still there !

Hi Andrew, thanks for the info so far. So judging by your fitting description you have already done this? If so any pictures? The Reiter site shows a black gen1 Gallardo in the gallery for GT3 Strada, the wing on the pictures does not appear to be siting as high above the tailgate as the SL in the video. My main reason to change the rear wing is that the factory SL wing sits right in the middle of the rear view making rozza spotting that bit more difficult, oh and of course I think all Lambos suit big wings!

yeap

i don't really have a pic that shows the correct angle, but rear visibility is not good

their super trofeo strada rear wing is a little higher

gt3 strada :

( excuse the red shirt : it was a ferrari-only track session )

Thanks for the pictures, I think (I could be wrong) that the wing in the video sits on longer support legs than on your car, it would appear that the driver of the white SL can see under the wing through the rear view mirror which is my aim. I love the Squadra Corse/Super Trofeo Stradale road car rear wings but prefer the SLs carbonfibre see through engine cover (with back light LEDs of course!). Would love to find a solution to this.
Did you deal with Reiter Engineering directly? I sent them an email over a week ago but have had no reply :-(, I guess I should just give them a call.

bugger. it does look slightly higher than mine !?

they did have a uk agent, but it was easier and a pleasure to deal with reiter directly

I take it you can't run the Supertrofeo Wing without the matching hatch can you?

Phoned Reiter Engineering today, they are on summer shut down till the 18th August, us Brits have so much to learn from our fellow Europeans!
As soon as I progress with this I will post incase anyone else fancies doing the same!
