Been looking on the dealer Used Aston site and noticed that you cant get 4.7's below 50k for at least the past month. Anyone care to have a go at why. Im not looking for one and in fact i got my 4.7 Manual from AMW for 48k which looking at it now im so glad i found it and got it when i did.
And looking at some 4.3's with slightly less spec than mine but same mileage are going for 2-3k more than my one.

Far lower numbers of 4.7's made compared to 4.3's which keeps prices stable, and it's also summer smile

I bought my 4.7 nearly 2 years ago for £53k, traded it against the V12 in Feb, I noticed its back in the AM dealer network with 10k miles more that I put on it and at...... £53k smile

Anyone near that price point wants an early 4.7 rather than a late 4.3 so there are very few about which has kept prices very stable for at least a year. All helps for when I make the step up to a V12. Managed not to drive one before I got my V8 but made the mistake a couple of months ago and I'm hooked.

Bit of a price hike on the V12V's at the moment compared to winter. There were always a few knocking around under 80k but now none.

Still one http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/a... and there was the one with 59,000 miles on that went within a week a short while ago but yeah, V12 prices are pretty solid now and I suspect may stay that way.

When I was looking for a 4.7 earlier this year and commented same to my local dealer they said the prices are holding well due to a shortage of supply as they didn't sell many in 2009 early 2010 because of the economy. I ended up getting a cracking deal on a 2012 N420 from a dealer in Jan as I thought it was good value against a 2010 stock 4.7. May the prices now remain high - fingers and toes crossed!

My 4.7 is an ex Factory Demonstrator that Aston used on promotional events. Hopefully it wasnt one of the Millbrook ones and was the "6ft leggy models draped over it at a Motor Show" one! But i was about to pay for a non-franchise 4.7 for about 2k more when i got the Aston email notification this had came onto the dealer network. I put a deposit on it a hour later!
