Interior/Electrical question from new Chim owner!

Hi All

In the process of purchasing my first TVR (just awaiting inspection and service results).

It’s a 1997 Chim 450.

One thing I noticed is that unlike the other Chims I have driven the mirror adjustment controls are plastic as opposed to aluminium/metal.

My question is can I fit the aluminium metal controls to my car fairly easily?

It’s a small cosmetic item I know, but I think the metal ones look cracking and it will fit with the rest of the Leven accessories!

Also whats the best TVR forum in terms of parts classifieds?

Can't help with the mirror question as I have a Griff but this is the best forum for spares.....plus of course ebay.

My last chimaera was a 97 450 and the mirror controls were plastic, current one is 98 and has the Ali controls. Wonder if it was the year to change.
I would imagine the electrical are the same. Try tvr glen, or bellhill garage. Both breakers. Glen has a fire damaged one on eBay so possible control for sale.

I think you must be right about the year change over.

I have found where to source one, but was hoping to check it was possible before I order it. If no-one knows then I will order one and try it !
