Xbox One Controller Headset Adaptor - anyone used?
Discussion
I have a pair of Sennheisher HD25's that I've been using plugged into the side of a TV to get game audio for the Xbox One. I need a bigger cable so I was looking at either an extension cable or the Xbox One headset adaptor for the controller.
It is supposed to send game audio (and mic if you have it) through the controller, so in theory I could plug the headphones into the controller instead of the TV.
Has anyone actually used one though, I don't want to waste £20 if the quality of the audio is going to be dog s
t?

I got a cheap chinese made £3 adaptor from ebay and use that to talk and listen to people but i still have to have the game noise coming out of the tv.
A decent wireless headset would be a worthwhile investment therefore if you want the whole deal through your headset.

I ended up buying one.. The good news is it does allow me to use a pair of Sennheiser HD25's into my Xbox ONE controller and get the game audio through the headset. It's plenty loud and it means I can mute the TV altogether.
I had read some reviews that it wasn't loud enough, which certainly isn't the case with these headphones. Also I had read about some intermittent audio dropping issues, which I have experienced along with some 'clicking' at times.. But it's nothing drastic. There doesn't seem to be any apparent audio degradation.
Still absolutely worth the £20.
