As stated, which would be the fastest? As an additional variable, what type of hat would you insist the driver wore during the TT?

My street would yield either an M235i or a 56 plate RS4.

Apart from mine and an MX5, my street consists of the usual bland uninspiring rep-mobiles you see hundreds of daily. There's also a council van, which is probably the faster thing in the world as they're forever right up your backside.

V8 Vantage probably. Or there is also a Golf R, might be close? Probably not though.

Probably mine.

Other than that, almost certainly some anonymous looking German rep mobile.

The only remotely interesting cars on my street are a 1M and an E93 M3. Probably the 1M?

Probably mine (SLK) but that's likely to be more by luck then by design. There's a kid with some red thing with lots of white go faster stripes and a dustbin for an exhaust he might give me a run for my money.

To be honest these days I don't think I have the minerals to win a race.

It would be a toss up between my charged MX5 and the chap down the roads K series powered MG Midget. All the other cars are old petrol hatches or old smoking diesel saloons.

A neighbour has a 458 so he'd win!

Given my street is full of black or white middle management German diesel barges, I think the Evo would be lapping them pretty quickly.

Hmm

A neighbour has an Audi S5 Convertible, so probably that.

If he wasn't around it'd be a bloody-battle of rep-mobiles (including mine)

Other than the RS5 that parks in the day time for whole days sometimes, my car! There's a cobra rep in a cul-de-sac off my road which is very loud but not sure if it's actually powerful.. I'd be interested if my handling could outweigh his powerrrrr (if it's there)

A current Golf R would be faster than a Vantage, I expect, especially in the hands of a non-expert driver.

The fastest car on my street would probably be the Boxster S that is only around on weekends.

Besides the Saab 93 Turbo X down the road I reckon my 328i is in with a shot. There is a B6 A4 3.0 cabrio but I think my old wreck could take it!

Someone round the corner from me appears to run a courier company & parks a Sprinter van on his drive. Most couriers could give Thrust SSC a run for it's money, so I'm backing the Sprinter.

Probably the earlyish Gallardo, although a 111R has just recently appeared so I guess it would be a close thing. I suggest a race between those two and my Vantage to find out. We'd all be wearing spiky ski hats.
