Stainless standard exhaust

Have chance to buy s/s standard exhaust.

Nothing wrong with my current one,am i just wasting my money for the s/s material?

If you put a magnet on it, it sticks, very poor quality stainless. Blackpool's finest .

Stainless steel, no matter how good the quality still has a high iron content (80% plus) so any magnet will stick to it.

Granted, there is always trace elements of ferrite and or martensite in most stainless steels, but austenitic is extremely low in these values and will bearly register if at all with a magnet. What I am saying is that Blackpool used a poor grade of stainless with high values of ferrite, in the stainless making it cheaper to buy,and high magnetism, but will corrode quicker over time. Have a look at the 300 series stainless steels and other AC specs like T72, used heavily in the AC industry on past and present airframes in fuel vent pipes. Nimrod and Sentry E-3D are typical examples. T72 tig welds lovely too, without too much distortion, and if a magnet is placed on it, it will fall off.
